who should it be? (For those of you that have not seen, he has just been ruled out for 3-5 weeks after fracturing his rib today).

Quite a debate gong on between the Sky Sports Commentators about who the replacement should be. One's currently mentioned:

Owais Shah
Darren Maddy
Mal Loye (Currently playing club cricket in New Zealand)
Stuart Law (I think this one was a bit tongue in cheek by Ian Botham)

There is also the option of looking to the future and bringing someone up from the academy, but is this the right environment considering the spankings we are getting? Also, would they do this considering they have just caled up a 36 year old wicket keeper?

Others now mentioned are

Robert Key
James Benning
Mark Ramprakash (Assuming he has not got his ballet shoes off)
Alaistair Cook

A lot of the commentators seem to think that a more aggressive top order batsmen is required.

Although it was tongue in cheek, I think Stuart Law would be perfect. Definitely need a big hitter, it's no good having 3 players at the top of your one-day team who are incapable of going faster than 4 an over.

They've ignored the 8 players OTPT listed, and gone for Ravi Bopara of Essex.

Apparently the selectors are happy with the top 3 of Vaughan, Strauss and Bell.
